Mountain Bike

Nepal is one of the best destinations for mountain bikers. You can explore the historic monuments, ancient villages or hill resorts with your mountain bike. You can also ride on goat tracks and off roads in the hills. We organize an all inclusive mountain biking program that includes American/European brand mountain bikes, helmet, local guide/expert mechanic, all lodging/camping and meals, vehicle support, spare bike to accompany trip and airport transfers. If you bring your own bike, there will be consideration on quotation of the tour.

Cultural Heritage Tour: One day

Kathmandu Valley has seven world heritage sites recognized by UNESCO. Your trip begins with a ride to Patan, one of the three medieval principalities of Kathmandu. There you will visit the palaces, temples and monasteries. From Patan you bike along the Ring road and head east along the Kodari Highway to Bhaktapur, another Malla kingdom of medieval Nepal. You will be amazed to see the intricate wood works in the windows, balconies of temples, houses and monastic complexes. From Bhaktapur, you will ride back to the Ring road and visit the temple of Pashupatinath. Near this temple lies the biggest Buddhist stupa in the world: the Bodhnath Stupa. Then, you will visit Swayambhunath Stupa located on a hillock, which offers a good view of Kathmandu. Then you will bike to Kathmandu Durbar Square to end the trip.

Off-road Tour: One day

We ride to Swayambhunath Stupa from where you will head to the north, off the road to the queen's forest (Rani Ban). This is a single track and offers the opportunity to enjoy the rice fields, country life and tranquil environment far away from the hooting noise of the city. You will ride about 30 kilometers for 4-5 hours.

NAGARKOT Tour (2 Days)

Day 01: Kathmandu to Nagarkot via Bhaktapur
(Distance: 39 km, altitude gain: 700m)
Early in the morning, after breakfast, we set out to Bhaktapur, one of the medieval principalities of the Kathmandu Valley. We will spend a couple of hours through Durbar Square, the temples and streets to explore the hidden secrets of Bhakatpur. From Bhaktapur we head northeast to Nagarkot on an excellent and quiet tarmac road. After a 20 kilometer gradual climb through terraced fields and village dwellings we will finally reach the top of Nagarkot, offering magnificent views of the Himalayas. Overnight stay.

Day 02: Nagarkot-Changu Narayan-Kathmandu
(Distance: 35 km, altitude gain: 200m)
After enjoying the glorious sunrise view, the day begins with an exciting descent by single-track trail. We pass through several rustic villages with a continuing backdrop of Himalayan views on our way down the ridge. The trail brings us to Changu Narayan. We continue downhill along the winding tarmac road to Bhaktapur. After lunch on Bhaktapur Durbar Square, we ride back to Kathmandu through Thimi, the ancient Newari village.

Namobuddha 3 days tour

Day01: Kathmandu to Dhulikhel via Bhaktapur (distance covered 40 km with 600m altitude gain)
The trip begins with a ride to the medieval Newari Town- Bhaktapur, which has well maintained its originality. After spending a couple of hours on exploring the historic temples, monastic complex arts and architectures, we continue onwards to Dhulikhel, along Kodari highway the only road that links Nepal with Tibet. We climb gradually through the terraced fields, village dwellings and arrive Banepa from where a moderate climb brings us to Dhulikhel. We stay overnight in lidge in this panoramic place.

Day02: Dhulilhel- Namobuddha- Panauti- Dhulikhel
(27 km covered with an altitude gain of 300m)
We set out on dirt tarmac, climbing and descending two hills before reaching the Buddhist pilgrimage site of Namobuddha. According to legend, it w as here that the Buddha, in a previous incarnation, gave his flesh to a hungry tigress as an offering. A stone statue marks the site; there is also an active monastery here. Leaving this hilltop, we plunge into the lush fields below, continuing on to the ancient village of Panauti, where the Buddha lived as a prince prior to his offering to the tigress. Tourists rarely visit this special village truly lost in time. Its Indresera Mahadev Temples the oldest surviving dated temple in Nepal believed to have been constructed in 1294. We follow a picturesque river on a mix of tarmac and dirt roads back to Dhulikhel.

Day 03 Dulikhel - Banepa- Nala - Bhaktapur- Kathmandu
(20-km distance covered with an altitude loss 200m)
We visit the fmous Chandeswri temple in Banepa. Dfrom here, we climb a short hill through the village of Nala, reentering Kathmandu Valley by jeep track. Descending through beautiful Newari farms, with their distinctive three-tiered farmhouses, we enter Bhaktapur from the east. After lunch in the main squre, we ride back to Kathmandu via Thimi.

Namobuddha (4 days)

Day 01: Kathmandu-Lotus Farm-Bungmati
(30 km ride with no remarkable altitude gain)
From Kathmandu, we cross the Ring road and ride to the picturesque village Bungmati. The twin villages Bungmati and Khokana are abound with temples where ancient rites and rituals are still practiced with full faith. We continue the ride to the south, climbing on a jeep track through forests to the village of Champi. A combination of a downhill push and an uphill carry of about 15 minutes bring us to Chapagaon village. Then, we take north, still on dirt, passing through the village Lubhu, well known for its handmade cloths. A little further is our lodging, The Lotus Farm.

Day 02: Lotus Farm-Panauti-Dhulikhel
(28 km ride with 600m altitude gain)
We ride back to Lubhu, climb southwest and arrive Sisneri, a quiet middle hill village. We pass through different ethnical communities as we climb higher. We click into our low gears for the switch. From the saddle, the descent to Panauti is on a steep single track, descending 300m through a pristine valley. At Manedhovan, it turns into a jeep track and follows tie meandering Roshi River to reach the ancient city of Panauti. We finish the day with a short off road climb to reach Dhulikhel.
Day 03: Dhulikhel-Namobuddha-Panauti-Dhulikhel
Day 04: Dhulikhel-Bhaktapur - Kathmandu
