Day 01 Kathmandu
Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Day 02 Kathmandu
A very full day of sight ? seeing of Bhaktapur, the medieval arts and architectural center, and the Golden Gate Temple. The to Pashupatinath temple and Boudhanath ? the largest of the Buddhist shrines. Afternoon tour of Kathmandu city including Durbar Square, Kumari temple and Kastamandap, the Monkey temple and Sowyambhunath Stupa. We return to the hotel for a very important briefing on trekking and rafting.
Day 03 Kathmandu - Pokhara - Kalikathan (Royal Trek)
Morning flight to Pokhara where our Sherpa will meet us and take us on the first 3 - 4 hours of the Royal Trek. In 1980 H. R. H. Prince Charles ( before he married! ) embarked upon a 3 day Royal Trek especially designed for him, we shall now trace his footsteps. On the first day we journey through the ills and villages of Chettris and Bahuns. The mountain views of Dhaulagiri to our east and Manaslu to the west are truly spectacular. We stay overnight at camp in Kalikathan and are completely catered for by our attentive trekking staff.
Day 04 Kalikathan - Shyaglung
Through Thulokot towards Shyaglung, the scattered villages and farming country of the Gurungs, which provide the bulk of the recruits of the British and Indian Gorkha Regiments, we make our way to Shyaglung for overnight camp.
Day 05 Shyaglung - Pokhara
It is downhill walk to day as we descend towards Pokhara valley and see the lakes of Rupa and Begnas beneath us. After a lake side lunch we are driven to Pokhara where we finally get to sleep on a real bed in a hotel.
Day 06 Pokhara
Morning sightseeing in and around the Pokhara valley. Afternoon free.
Day 07 Pokhara - Charaudi - Fishling
After breakfast we leave Pokhara for the 3 hour drive to the village of Charaudi. where we meet our raft crew and explore the local area while they prepare our rafts. We have our lunch and embark on our first river rafting day which is a leisurely and interesting one, as we negotiate several small drops. As we near Fishling, our crew will set up camp for us, and prepare a delicious camp meal.
Day 08 Fishling - Chitwan.
Another fascinating day of contrasting sights, sounds and smells as we glide past the many aspects of river life, simple farming and more sophisticated terraced cultivation. As soon as we leave camp we negotiate one of the most exciting white water stretches in the world! After the morning excitement we then glide more sedately and marvel at the changes in our scenery. The high gorges and steep canyon walls, small waterfalls and lush grottoes contrast with the rapids and provide a welcome interlude for lunch. After Lunch we bid farewell to our rafting crew as we approach Gaighat, and are then driven to the Wildlife Resort in the heart of the Royal Chitwan National Park. A unforgettable day is climaxed by a slide presentation followed by dinner at the jungle resort. Overnight at Jungle Lodge.
Day 09 Chitwan
In the morning we board our elephants for jungle safari, where we will be photographing Rhino, Crocodile, Deer, endless species of Birds, Leopard, Bear, Sloth and hopefully the Royal Bengal Tiger. Our last dinner at the resort will be accompanied by a very colorful ethnic tribal dance troupes. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 10 Chitwan - Kathmandu
We awake with the sunrise and get our last chance to photograph the animals as they stretch and emerge into the wild. After breakfast we drive to Kathmandu.
Day 11 Kathmandu
Early morning drive to the Airport for 1 hour long enchanting flight over the northern Himalayan including Mt. Everest. Last day in Nepal is kept free for shopping.
Day 12
After breakfast transfer to the Airport for your onward flight.

Package price is on per person twin share basis. Price includes Kathmandu and Pokhara Hotels on breakfast. All domestic air fare where applicable.
