This is one of the best short treks in the Annapurna Foothills less frequented by tourists with panoramic views all along the route.
Day 1. Patale Kharka.
Drive to the trail head near Bhumdi School on the Siddhartha Highway from Pokhara. We ascend a steep trail through the Gurung villages of Kalabang and Bhumdi and then passing through thick Rhodendron forests and Bhumdi Deorali. The first night camp will be at Patale Kharka (1768m.).
Day 2. Panchase Deorali.
We then walk further up to Panchase Deorali which is the junction of trails from Syangja, Parbat and Kaski districts. This is a good camping spot with beautiful view of the mountains.
Day 3. Bhaudare Deorali.
In the morning we ascend the summit of Panchase Deorali for better views of the mountains and the surrounding areas. We then return back to Panchase Deorali and head north to Bhaudare Deorali, on the old highway to Baglung from Pokhara. Camp overnight.
Day 4. Naundanda.
We ascend towards a ridge to the north. The trail is through thick Rhododendron forests with spctacular views of Annarpurna, Manaslu Himal and the Phewa Lake. We then gradually descend to Naundanda for our camp.
Day 5. Pokhara.
We walk on the ridge to Sarangkot and descend to Pokhara.
