The 14 days Dolpo trek starts with the flight to Jumla via Nepalgunj. The trail goes through villages and terraced fields of wheat, potato and barley. Also in this trek you meet the Tibetan salt traders with their caravan of yaks or goats heading for the lowlands. In the trek, red panda, black bear, snow leopard, Himalayan wolf and various kinds of birds may be seen in the forests. The view of Kanjiroba Himal from Chouri Kharka is magnificent and Phoksundo lake, one of the most beautiful lakes in the world is the major attraction in the trek. Since this area was opened for foreigners in 1988, the local people may flock to see you because they are not used to westerners.

Fly to Nepalgunj and overnight in a Hotel.

Fly to Jumla and camp.

Gothe Chour

Cross the Mouri La (4326 m.) and Chune

Cross Kagmara La and camp
Day 08:
Chaori Kharka

Ringmo

Explore Phoksundo lake and trek to Dodhara

Juphal via Dunai

Fly to Kathmandu via Nepalgunj
